Infographics One.

Here is my first draft of my social network infographic. I followed the design idea from the World of 100 infographics. The United States represents the average number of users. The glasses represent my number of daily uses.

Idea!

I think that I have officially picked my topic for the infographics.
I got the statistics for the average daily users of facebook, twitter and youtube. I'm going to do my own statistics by recording how many times a day I get on the powerful three links. Right now I'm brainstorming ideas on how to illustrate both of the statistics.

Infographics Brainstorming.

I've come up with a few statistic ideas.

-15% left handed

-30% redheads
-27% brunette
-26% blonde
What Color?

I've also come up with an idea to see how many people use each of the social networks. I'll then compare my results to it. Meaning that I will keep track of how many times I use Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace.

I've also looked at some graphics for visual ideas.
I like the look of all of these graphs. They are simple and eye catching.
Here are some more samples, The World Of 100
I enjoy the comparison between the two players on this graph.
With this graph I like the bright colors and the simplicity of the design.
This one is graphically pleasing to me.

Final Poster.

This is my final project. I put some different photoshop filters over the pictures to go along with some of the scans that I originally had. The background of the poster is from a breast cancer self check diagram. The pattern is repeated over and over again.

One of the requirements of the project was that your poster include handwritten typography. I tried changing the "Wear Pink" part of my poster to handwritten typography but I didn't like the way it ended up looking. I made the decision when it came to presenting time to go ahead with the poster that doesn't have handwritten typography on it because I find it to be more successful.
