This is my final project. I put some different photoshop filters over the pictures to go along with some of the scans that I originally had. The background of the poster is from a breast cancer self check diagram. The pattern is repeated over and over again.
One of the requirements of the project was that your poster include handwritten typography. I tried changing the "Wear Pink" part of my poster to handwritten typography but I didn't like the way it ended up looking. I made the decision when it came to presenting time to go ahead with the poster that doesn't have handwritten typography on it because I find it to be more successful.

PSA Poster Ideas.
I found some layouts in How magazine [minus the last one that I got out of New Vintage Type] that I really liked. I like a layout that has a simplistic look but still has enough going on to keep the reader entertained. The bold shapes and bright colors are something that I would like to carry into my PSA poster. So far my PSA poster idea is to make a simple image that has bright colors, maybe orange, blue or green, through bold images and some type to support the images. I'm thinking of doing a PSA for Breast Cancer Awareness or Polar Bear Endangerment.

Alternative Representation.
I've finished all of my pictures of my letters. For the most part I'm pleased with their outcome. A few of them I think I will retake for a better quality picture and maybe a new design idea.

Designed Letters
Our second project for this semester is to illustrate our name by creating letters out of different materials. So far I have taken a few pictures. I made a T out of paperclips, C out of cereal, L out of Gold Fish and I out of colored pencils. I decided to use the font Helvetica Neue Bold with all capital letters. Some of my other ideas are to use glitter, tape, soap, gummy bears and string.
If you have any ideas let me know!
The T made out of paperclips, unedited.

Final.
Here is my final draft. I fixed the sharp points by rounding them out. For the most part I am pleased with my design.
